The Great Recycle’s 2023 self-titled debut album is a mix of songs about love and loss alongside tracks with a strong environmental message, produced by Tom Loffman. Tom also provides the drums and bass with Jerry Evans on vocals, guitars and keyboards. It is available now on Skruffy Records on CD and as a digital download. Eight original songs, three covers and three minutes of dawn chorus from Devon make up the album. Track three Postage Stamp has a strong following on streaming services to this day. A version of Hurricane Smith’s 1971 hit Don’t Let it Die is just as relevant today as it was at the dawn of environmentalism and is a favourite of Jerry’s. He’s tacked on an original instrumental outro World Chorus and very much hopes Hurricane would have approved.
